Will there be food and drinks at the Welcome Reception?

Yes, food and drinks will be provided at the Welcome Reception. There will be enough for guests to enjoy as dinner!

What should I wear to the Welcome Reception?

Summer cocktail attire. For women, we suggest a maxi or midi dress. For men, jacket recommended.

What time does the ceremony start?

The ceremony will begin at 2:00 PM (EST) at St. Aloysius Parish. Guests are encouraged to arrive around 1:30 PM (EST) to allow time for parking and seating.

Can we use our cellphones during the ceremony?

The Bride and Groom please ask that there is no phone usage during the ceremony. A professional photographer and videographer will be capturing special moments throughout the day.

Should I sign up for wedding text updates?

Yes, this is going to be the easiest way to get informed leading up to the Welcome Reception and Wedding. We will provide you with details, such as, where to be and at what time throughout the weekend.

How far in advance should I leave for events?

Summer traffic in Connecticut can be busy. We recommend allowing 30–40 minutes of travel time to ensure you arrive on time.

Where should I park for the Ceremony?

Parking will be available at St. Aloysius Parish. 21 Cherry Street New Canaan, CT 06840.

Where should I park at the Wedding Reception?

Parking will be available on-site. Valet service will also be provided.

Are children invited?

We love your little ones, however this will be an adults-only celebration unless your child is specifically listed on the invitation.

Can I bring a plus-one?

Due to space limitations, we are only able to accommodate the guests listed on your invitation. If your invitation included a plus-one, their name will appear on your RSVP.

Should I bring a shawl or sweater?

Both the church and reception venue will be air-conditioned. If you tend to get cold, we recommend bringing a light sweater or shawl.

What if I have food allergies or dietary restrictions?

Once seated at the reception, you can let your server know and they will accommodate accordingly.
